Close to city center and good breakfast the hotel is located close to the city center, making it easy to walk to restaurants and shops. the breakfast offered plenty of options to choose from, including fresh fruit and pastries. the parking was free of charge.
Poor room conditions and unresponsive staff the room was in poor condition, with torn wallpaper and water damage. the staff was unhelpful and unresponsive to requests.

The hotel is very well placed, at 15 min of the city center by foot, and 10 min far away from Caracala Therms.

The breakfast was excellent. We were about the only guests judging by the number of cars parked and the number of people we saw, nonetheless the breakfast was lavish and in contrast to the hallways and the general hotel interior the restaurant was very luxurious. One of the rooms had a nice, spacious balcony. The price was good. And we could park our car at the very front of the hotel. The hotel is located in the woods, so it is very silent and peaceful.
The interior of the hotel was very outdated. And there was a hint of this specific smell that you can usually smell in camping cabins that have not been used for a long time. We had a feeling that the hotel has not been renovated since the 70s. We also saw a small spider web in the corner of a corridor. The safe was unusable because it required coins and was too difficult to figure out. While everything was there, this 4 star hotel was more like a decent 3 star hotel - comfortable and without any major annoyances but not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

the bugs that where in the bathroom.
i didn't enjoy the stupid city tax that was suppose to be include in the price, the fact that internet don't work half of the time or in some rooms. the bugs that where in the bathtub when i walked in. that's about it.

Our second stay there. Price was good. Quiet location. Breakfast good. Room was reecntly upgraded (new carpet, new wallpaper, etc)
Room was cold when we first got in it. Heat was off and windows open. About a (pleasant) 10 minute walk to spas and the edge of altstadt. About 25 min to the casino. It was fine for us, but may not be for seniors and couples with small children.

Poorly staffed. Breakfast staff friendly but others need basic communication skills update - to say the least! Obvious up-date work in progress regarding re furbishment. Round trip taxi cost to and from town was 18 euros.. too far away from centre of activity.

The hotel was a lot better than I imagined after reading some of the reviews. The room was clean. Yes, the terrace is a little shabby, but huge. The beds not so comfortable, but that could be my body hurting because of hiking all day. The breakfast was great, nice dining area. There's a path and sidewalks you can follow into town and reach the Caracalla Spa in around 15 minutes. Not too bad. Nice forest surroundings. Friendly and helpful front desk.

staff were lovely but hotel outdated, bargain price, but nothing like it says on you website. We had a very big room for a family of 4 but the hotel is very rusting and we felt we may be the last guests before they knock it down. Staff of 3 were lovely.
Crumbling away, sadly! Would recommend only if you pay £30 per night.

Positioned in a beautiful green area, on Baden-Baden hill.
They forgot to start the radiator in the room, so it was cold in the beginning, but in 15 minutes everything was ok.
